I Adore the Butter
SLJ on January 07, 2014
I would give Meyenberg 500 stars if I could. It's that good. I adore butter. I am a butter expert or "gourmet", having tried virtually every type & brand I can find, including those faddy new "European cultured" versions, plus several competing brands of goat butter, too. They cost as much as, or more than, Meyenberg, but NOTHING even comes close to its delicious, richly buttery taste. Warning: It is very pale, almost white, in color. When my sarcastic, high-living corporate expatriate friend visited from Romania, he took one look at the Meyenberg on the breakfast table & said, "So you're eating lard these days?" But when he munched his toast he said "Yum!" Meyenberg is pale because it is natural, lacking the yellow dye found in most butter.
